Lord Of Hosts (Posted: Sep 15,   Modified: Sep 15)
Lord Of Hosts Is God The Father
Lord King Of Israel Is His Son

Isaiah 44:6 (English Standard Version)

Besides Me There Is No God

6Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel
and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts:
"I am the first and I am the last;
besides me there is no god.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Lord of Hosts raised His only begotten Son from the grave on the third day.
To me that is what it means when it says His Redeemer.

Isaiah 42:5 (English Standard Version)

5Thus says God, the LORD,
who created the heavens and stretched them out,
who spread out the earth and what comes from it,
who gives breath to the people on it
and spirit to those who walk in it:

Isaiah 45:5-13 (English Standard Version)

5 I am the LORD, and there is no other,
besides me there is no God;
I equip you, though you do not know me,
6 that people may know, from the rising of the sun
and from the west, that there is none besides me;
I am the LORD, and there is no other.
7I form light and create darkness,
I make well-being and create calamity,
I am the LORD, who does all these things.
8 "Shower, O heavens, from above,
and let the clouds rain down righteousness;
let the earth open, that salvation and righteousness may bear fruit;
let the earth cause them both to sprout;
I the LORD have created it.
9 "Woe to him who strives with him who formed him,
a pot among earthen pots!
Does the clay say to him who forms it, 'What are you making?'
or 'Your work has no handles'?
10Woe to him who says to a father, 'What are you begetting?'
or to a woman, 'With what are you in labor?'"
11Thus says the LORD,
the Holy One of Israel, and the one who formed him:
"Ask me of things to come;
will you command me concerning my children and the work of my hands?
12 I made the earth
and created man on it;
it was my hands that stretched out the heavens,
and I commanded all their host.
13 I have stirred him up in righteousness,
and I will make all his ways level;
he shall build my city
and set my exiles free,
not for price or reward,"
says the LORD of hosts.

Isaiah 11:1-3 (English Standard Version)

Isaiah 11

The Righteous Reign of the Branch

1There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse,
and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.
2And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him,
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.
3And his delight shall be in the fear of the LORD.
He shall not judge by what his eyes see,
or decide disputes by what his ears hear,

Jeremiah 23:1-5 (English Standard Version)

Jeremiah 23

The Righteous Branch

1 "Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!" declares the LORD.
2Therefore thus says the LORD, the God of Israel,
concerning the shepherds who care for my people:
"You have scattered my flock and have driven them away,
and you have not attended to them. Behold,
I will attend to you for your evil deeds, declares the LORD.
3 Then I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them,
and I will bring them back to their fold, and they shall be fruitful and multiply.
4 I will set shepherds over them who will care for them,
and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be missing, declares the LORD.
5 "Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD,
when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely,
and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

Jeremiah 33:14-16 (English Standard Version)

The LORD’s Eternal Covenant with David

14 "Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD,
when I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel and the house of Judah.
15In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch to spring up for David,
and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
16In those days Judah will be saved,
and Jerusalem will dwell securely. And this is the name by which it will be called:
'The LORD is our righteousness.'

Zechariah 3:7-9 (English Standard Version)

7"Thus says the LORD of hosts: If you will walk in my ways and keep my charge,
then you shall rule my house and have charge of my courts,
and I will give you the right of access among those who are standing here.
8Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who sit before you,
for they are men who are a sign: behold, I will bring my servant the Branch.
9For behold, on the stone that I have set before Joshua, on a single stone with seven eyes,
I will engrave its inscription, declares the LORD of hosts,
and I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day.

Zechariah 6:11-13 (English Standard Version)

11Take from them silver and gold, and make a crown, and set it on the head of Joshua,
the son of Jehozadak, the high priest.
12And say to him, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts,
"Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: for he shall branch out from his place,
and he shall build the temple of the LORD.
13 It is he who shall build the temple of the LORD and shall bear royal honor,
and shall sit and rule on his throne. And there shall be a priest on his throne,
and the counsel of peace shall be between them both."'

Zechariah 12:1 (English Standard Version)

Zechariah 12

The LORD Will Give Salvation
1 The burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel:
Thus declares the LORD, who stretched out the heavens and founded the earth
and formed the spirit of man within him:

Zechariah 2:8-13 (English Standard Version)

8For thus said the LORD of hosts, after his glory sent me to the nations who plundered you,
for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye:
9"Behold,I will shake my hand over them, and they shall become plunder for those who served them.
Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me.
10 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for behold,
I come and I will dwell in your midst, declares the LORD.
11 And many nations shall join themselves to the LORD in that day,
and shall be my people.
And I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.
12 And the LORD will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land,
and will again choose Jerusalem."
13Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD,
for he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.

Isaiah 9:1-7 (English Standard Version)

Isaiah 9

For to Us a Child Is Born

1 But there will be no gloom for her who was in anguish.
In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun
and the land of Naphtali,
but in the latter time he has made glorious the way of the sea,
the land beyond the Jordan,
Galilee of the nations.
2 The people who walked in darkness
have seen a great light;
those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness,
on them has light shined.
3 You have multiplied the nation;
you have increased its joy;
they rejoice before you
as with joy at the harvest,
as they are glad when they divide the spoil.
4 For the yoke of his burden,
and the staff for his shoulder,
the rod of his oppressor,
you have broken as on the day of Midian.
5 For every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult
and every garment rolled in blood
will be burned as fuel for the fire.
6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7Of the increase of his government and of peace
there will be no end,
on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it
with justice and with righteousness
from this time forth and forevermore.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

Isaiah 7:13-15 (English Standard Version)

13And he said, "Hear then, O house of David!
Is it too little for you to weary men, that you weary my God also?
14Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign.
Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
15He shall eat curds and honey when he knows how to refuse the evil and choose the good

Isaiah 8:7-9 (English Standard Version)

7therefore, behold, the Lord is bringing up against them the waters of the River, mighty and many,
the king of Assyria and all his glory.
And it will rise over all its channels and go over all its banks,
8and it will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass on, reaching even to the neck,
and its outspread wings will fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel."
9Be broken, you peoples, and be shattered;
give ear, all you far countries;
strap on your armor and be shattered;
strap on your armor and be shattered.

Matthew 1:22-24 (English Standard Version)

22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:
23 "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall call his name Immanuel"
(which means, God with us).
24When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife,
